So you want to be a tax accountant?
Kim Vine, CPA and Vice President of Terry Lockridge & Dunn participated in the annual Career Day at Center Point-Urbana Elementary School. Kim shared insight into the career of an accountant to curious 2nd-4th grade students. Using props, role playing characters and basic creativity, Kim discussed the concept of income taxes and an accountant’s role to individuals and business owners.
The event helps educate elementary students about the different careers and hobbies adults have and what skills/interests certain professions require. Kim was one of 35 professionals that participated in this year's event. Other professionals included firemen, nurses and bankers.
