IRS Update: Always Keep I-9's on File for Your Employees

October 26, 2011

If you have employees, you should always have I-9’s on file for all of them. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) can assess penalties up to $5,500 per employee for failure to retain I-9’s. The DHS is stepping up enforcement, and focusing on farmers, factories, restaurants and construction companies.

Please contact us if you have any questions on I-9’s or other DHS regulations that might affect your business.
