Firms Adopt-a-Family for the Holiday Season!
Employees of Terry Lockridge & Dunn and World Trend Financial worked with HACAP to "Adopt-a-Family" again this holiday season. This program assisted over 450 families in need in our area, helping make their holidays a bit brighter.
Our adopted family (mom, dad and three children) indicated what types and sizes of clothing they needed as well as any other gifts they might like to receive. Staff provided gifts or donated cash and then went shopping for needed items. We also received a grocery shopping list and provided at least enough food for a full holiday dinner for the family.
Once everything was collected, more than 10 staff members got together to wrap the gifts. Several members of the group then helped deliver all the items on December 22nd.
This was a great project and a nice way to help our friends and neighbors. If your family or business is interested in take part in 2012 we encourage you to contact HACAP in November.
