2007 Tax Letter

December 2007

Dear Survivor of Reality TV:

Just when you thought reality TV had run its course, the Writers Guild of America decides to strike.   Hardly two months into the strike, reality TV seems destined to achieve new heights.  From China castaways to Dancing Stars, new life has been breathed into the genre.  Even Oprah has gotten into the act with “Oprah’s Big Give”.  The show centers on “the competition, drama and emotion as millions of dollars are given away”.

The IRS is considering getting into the act as well.  Taking a cue from Oprah, their show will be “The Big Take”.  It will feature the competition, drama and emotion as thousands of lobbyists give away millions of dollars to protect their clients’ loopholes.

With the writers’ strike destined to last awhile, it might be a good time to look at your taxes for the year.  To help you out, we are enclosing this year’s organizer.

Once again, we end this year in anxious prayer for the safe return of those courageous women and men who serve our country in a dangerous world.

We also wish you an enjoyable holiday.  May the coming year find you and your loved ones grateful for all the blessings we are fortunate enough to take for granted.
