Energy Tax Credits for Builders

Are you missing out on $2,000 for each home you build?  You might be if you are building homes that are considered energy efficient or "green."  The IRS provides a $2,000 tax credit for each home built, or substantially renovated, that meets a 50% overall energy efficiency standard as compared to the 2004 IECC standards.  Tax credits are much more valuable than tax deductions.

Qualifying homes need to be certified by an eligible third party, usually for a reasonable $300 to $500 fee.  This credit was scheduled to expire at the end of 2009; however there are substantial lobbying efforts to extend this credit.

If you believe that you qualify for this credit, or want more information, please contact us by calling 319-364-2945 or online at www.realfinancialstrategies.com.
