Our New Iowa City Building

The future of accounting, business and wealth management will soon sit prominently atop a hill overlooking Highway 218 in Iowa City. Terry, Lockridge & Dunn and World Trend Financial are building a new 17,000 square-foot office building at 2225 Mormon Trek Boulevard. The site for the new building is not far from the location currently shared by the two firms on Mormon Trek Boulevard.
“We have designed a magnificent, iconic facility that will be a warm environment for our clients and staff, ” says Tim Terry, founder of Terry, Lockridge & Dunn and World Trend Financial. “Its design will enable us to provide the highest standard of service to our clients for years to come. It provides space and flexibility for future growth while maintaining our longstanding commitment to environmental stewardship.” The firms are considering LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) standards for the facility, the nationally-accepted benchmark for the design, construction and operation of high performance green buildings.
Iowa City-based Neumann Monson Architects designed the asymmetrical building to facilitate and encourage the cooperative work style that the two firms share, a style that has become the hallmark of their great success. Wide spans of glass will bring natural lighting inside and will provide scenic views of the surrounding Iowa countryside. A two-story lobby and waiting area will greet clients and create an inviting entrance to the building. The building will also feature large client meeting rooms, an enclosed atrium and individual offices for employees. Additional office space will also be available for lease.
The new facility is being built by McComas-Lacina and is scheduled for completion this fall. Terry says the new building represents a significant milestone and is evidence of a commitment to build on the outstanding reputations both firms have earned as leaders in the financial field in Eastern Iowa over the last 29 years.
Terry, Lockridge & Dunn and World Trend Financial employ 45 experts in offices in Iowa City and Cedar Rapids. That number is expected to grow to 75 by 2008.
