On Wednesday, April 23, employees of Terry, Lockridge & Dunn and World Trend Financial gathered over their lunch break to assemble May Day baskets for the patients at The University of Iowa Children’s Hospital in Iowa City. “It was neat working with co-workers to make these for the kids; each child received about three toys and plenty of goodies in their basket,” said Rosie Wolf (TLD) of the experience.
The staff filled around 40 May Day baskets to be delivered the afternoon of May 1 by employees Patty Davidson and Laura Burkle, along with family members of World Trend President, Kara Meiborg and Max Meiborg. “I think it is important to give back to the community; a few dollars from each of us and a little bit of our time can go a long way,” commented Donna Sanders (WT). In this case, that small contribution will help to make May Day a little brighter for the 40 children at The U of I Children’s Hospital.
