Did You Receive an Economic Impact Payment in 2021 or Advance Child Tax Credit? If So, Set Up an Account with the IRS to Get a Timely Refund!

Millions of Americans received a third Economic Impact Payment in 2021 as part of the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021. If you receive this payment, your accountant will need to know how much was received and the amount reported must match with the IRS. In addition, this year the Advance Child Tax credit was expanded for 2021 under the American Rescue Plan Act, including a provision to receive 50% of this credit early. Your accountant will also need to report this information on your return; be looking for a Letter 6419 from the IRS to taxpayers providing the total amount of advance recieved. Read More
